Tea tree (Melaleuca alternifolia) is an evergreen tree and has nothing in common with the tea bush (Camellia sinensis), but is a myrtle plant native to Australia. Of the more than 300 varieties of Melaleuca, only Melaleuca alternifolia produces the unique tea tree or tea tree oil. In terms of ingredients, it is primarily the cineole and terpinen-4-ol content that is tested and evaluated. In general, a cineole content of less than 5 % and a terpinen-4-ol content of at least 30 % is of a quality that combines skin-friendliness with optimum effectiveness.

Tea tree oil has a cleansing and refreshing effect. It provides rapid relief from insect bites and itching and helps to accelerate the reduction of swelling. Effective in the treatment of skin impurities and spots.

Application: Cosmetic for aroma care of the skin. Max. 4 drops in 50 ml PRIMAVERA organic almond oil.
