Sweetening factor: 150 times sweeter than sucrose (household sugar).

What is erythritol?

Erythritol is the best tolerated of all sugar alcohols because it is absorbed almost completely unchanged through the small intestine and excreted through the kidneys. The taste is sweet, mild and most similar to sugar of all sugar alcohols. The sweetening power is about 70% of the sweetening power of sugar.

The product is considered within the EU as a tabletop sweetener of natural origin according to Regulation (EC) 1131/2011 and (EC) 231/2012.
