Ingredients: Astaxanthin (from Haematococcus pluvialis), extra virgin olive oil, capsule shell: [modified maize starch, carrageenan (thickener from algae), vegetable glycerine, sorbitol (both humectants), water], natural vitamin E (mixed tocopherols from sunflower oil), sunflower oil, safflower oil with high oleic acid content.

The blood rain algae (Haematococcus Pluvialis) is a microalgae known for its impressive red coloration. This is caused by the carotenoid astaxanthin, which is also found in various types of fruit and vegetables and gives salmon and flamingos their characteristic coloring. Astaxanthin is a natural protective substance of microalgae, which they produce to a greater extent under difficult living conditions, making it the richest and most concentrated source of astaxanthin in nature. It is one of the most powerful antioxidants of all and is approx. 6000 times stronger than vitamin C and approx. 800 times stronger than coenzyme Q10.

Natural astaxanthin from microalgae naturally contains the original carotenoid spectrum of algae. In addition to astaxanthin, it also contains lutein, canthaxanthin, zeaxanthin and beta-carotene, which have a synergistic effect together with astaxanthin.

^BioAstin® is a highly pure, vegan premium extract from the microalgae Haematococcus pluvialis. The patented cultivation takes place in sun-drenched outdoor pools on the Kona coast (Hawaii) on lava rock in a "secure zone" free of sprays and fertilizers with highly pure, controlled spring water (90 %) and mineral-rich deep sea water (10 %) from a depth of 600 metres. Paddle wheels in the basins ensure that the water is circulated so that the algae receive even sunlight, which guarantees good growth. Thanks to gentle processing using supercritical_{CO2 extraction}, the remarkable antioxidant potential and the natural carotenoid complex are preserved in the best possible way.

Recommended dosage: 2x daily 1 capsule á 4 mg astaxanthin with liquid. This currently corresponds to the legally permitted intake recommendation in the EU.
