Our sweet chestnuts come from the best growing region in Europe. They are traditionally roasted briefly in a fire bowl and steamed. This creates a very fine, typical chestnut aroma. They are then filled hot into a jar and can now be kept without further preservation.
Very tasty for snacking or in dishes, e.g. briefly roasted with oil, salt and onions and enjoyed with salad - with vegetable dishes such as Brussels sprouts, red cabbage or sauerkraut - or as pralines dipped in liquid chocolate.
