Ingredients: Organic dulse flakes (Palmaria palmata) from Ireland.

Dulse (Palmariapalmata) is a red algae that grows in the rocky coastal waters of the Atlantic and Pacific.

The algae consists of reddish tufts with 15 to 30 centimeter long leaves. After drying, the leaves look rather brownish. They taste mild and spicy when fresh and more or less salty when dried. Dulse can be eaten raw as a snack and salad or cooked in soups and stews.

The organically grown seaweed is harvested by hand in the southwest of Ireland. Great respect and care is taken to protect the marine environment. The harvested seaweed is rinsed on the shore and dried at low temperatures (30°C) to preserve the rich nutrient content.

These seaweeds are of the highest quality. Regular analyses ensure that they are free of harmful substances and therefore safe and healthy.

The seaweed naturally has a white coating. This is crystallized sea salt.

Recommended intake: 1 g / day. Contains 188 µg iodine (94 % of the reference amount for an average adult). Dulse flakes can be sprinkled directly over food, for example.

Consumer information: Algae are naturally rich in iodine. Excessive intake of iodine can lead to thyroid dysfunction. The recommended daily intake of iodine according to the Nutrient Reference Values (NRV) is 150 µg per day.

Food supplements are no substitute for a balanced and varied diet. The recommended daily intake must not be exceeded. Keep out of the reach of children.
